Event Wrap Up: How to Build an International Audience for your Australian Brand

This week, we hosted our final PR Power Lunch of 2021 with Violeta Tentomas of West 14th and Natalie Knoll of Bird & Knoll, touching on:

  • What international audiences love about Australian brands, and how to tell these stories

  • How Australian and International media differ - how do they like to be pitched to, what angles are they interested in and what’s trending in media and influencer activity around the world.

  • Whether you need to have an on-the-ground resource for international media activity

  • And more.

We heard  from:

Violeta Tentomas, Founder West 14th

At 16 when I should have been studying with a friend, we took the train into New York City, where we stumbled into the Fashion Institute of Technology’s campus on 27th street. That was it and my mind was made up - this was my college. I then found a major to blend creativity and busines and launched into my career as a fashion buyer. Ultimately, it came as no surprise when launching West 14th 8+ years ago to focus on the concept of forever. Modern day heirlooms to treasure, share and resale.

Natalie Knoll, Founder Bird & Knoll

Natalie Knoll is Co-Founder of the Australian label BIRD AND KNOLL. Founded together with Macayla Chapman, it is a beautiful Australian independent luxury label offering the mindful woman mood elevating resort wear that injects escapism and romantic sensibility for a beautifully unique vacation style.
