Securing a spot at Paris Fashion Week is a game-changer, and Gojelle has done it in style with an exciting collaboration alongside designer Christopher Esber.

We caught up with Rochele from Gojelle to talk about how the partnership with Christopher Esber came to life, the creative process behind their stunning nail designs, and what it means for the brand to be showcased on such a global stage. From elegant, modern designs to tips for other Aussie brands looking to make their mark, Rochele shares the journey and what’s next for Gojelle.

Hi Rochele! Congrats on landing Paris Fashion Week! How did this collaboration with Christopher Esber come about?

Thank you! We’re incredibly excited. This collaboration came about through a shared vision between Gojelle and Christopher Esber. His team was looking for a unique and elegant nail design to compliment his collection, and we were honoured to be considered. Christopher's sophisticated yet bold aesthetic aligned perfectly with Gojelle's mission of combining high fashion with convenience, and it just felt like a natural fit.

What was the creative process like? How did you and the Christopher Esber team blend your styles to create perfect nails for the runway?

It was a true collaboration. Christopher’s designs have such an architectural and refined quality, and we wanted to reflect that in the nails. We worked closely with his team to ensure the nails not only complimented his collection but also stood out as a statement piece. We focused on creating a look that is elegant yet modern, using the timeless beauty of pearls, which tied in with the theme of his collection and inspired 'The Petra Pearl' Gojelles.

Can you give us a sneak peek of the nail designs you’re debuting at Paris Fashion Week?

Of course! The Petra Pearl design is all about understated elegance with a bold edge - a soft pearlescent finish with a modern shape.

Paris Fashion Week is huge! How do you think showcasing at such a global event will elevate Gojelle in the beauty and fashion world?

Paris Fashion Week is such an iconic event, and it gives Gojelle the opportunity to be seen on a global stage. This collaboration allows us to align Gojelle with luxury fashion while showing the world how press-on nails can be part of high-end beauty. It’s a huge step forward for us in terms of brand recognition, especially in the fashion world, where nails are becoming an essential part of an outfit.

What’s one unexpected element of this collaboration that surprised you?

What surprised us most was how seamlessly everything came together. Sometimes collaborations with such high stakes can be challenging, but working with Christopher Esber’s team felt effortless. We both had a clear vision, and it was surprising how quickly we were able to develop something that both sides were proud of. Another unexpected element was how pivotal the nails became in tying together the entire runway look—they became a key accessory.

What does the opportunity to collaborate with a designer like Christopher Esber mean for Gojelle as a brand?

It’s a huge honour and a pivotal moment for Gojelle. Collaborating with someone as respected as Christopher Esber really solidifies Gojelle’s place in the fashion and beauty industries. It shows that press-on nails can be just as glamorous and high fashion as traditional manicures, and it opens up new opportunities for us to explore more fashion-forward designs and collaborations in the future.

Do you have any post-show plans or celebrations lined up to mark this big milestone?

We’ll definitely be celebrating! After all the hard work, it’s important to take a moment to recognize how far we’ve come so we will be having a celebratory dinner here in Sydney because unfortunately we cannot make it to the show. The dinner will be to commemorate the milestone in happening in Paris.

What are your top 3 tips for other Australian brands wanting to break into the big fashion weeks?

  1. Stay authentic to your brand – Fashion week is all about originality, so make sure your products reflect your true vision and values even when collaborating.

  2. Network, network, network – Building relationships within the industry is crucial. Don’t be afraid to reach out and collaborate with people who inspire you.

  3. Be ready to adapt – Fashion week moves fast, so be flexible and ready to pivot to meet the needs of designers and the industry.

The buzz must be unreal right now! What’s been the most exciting part of prepping for Paris Fashion Week?

It’s been incredible! The most exciting part has been seeing the entire collection come together. Being part of the behind-the-scenes action of such a major event has been thrilling. And of course, seeing our Gojelles become part of Christopher Esber’s vision is an experience we’ll never forget.

Finally, who would be your dream celebrity to use Gojelle?

That’s a tough one! There are so many incredible women we admire, but if we had to choose, Emma Chamberlain would be a dream. Her style is always fresh, bold, and on point, and we know she does her own nails!
